Theodore Chao, email@example.com, is an assistant professor of mathematics education at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and holds a doctorate in mathematics education from The University of Texas at Austin. He examines mathematics teaching and mathematics teacher education for people of color, focusing on the use of technology as a democratizing tool to uncover oppression. He has published in edited volumes and journals, such as Teaching Children Mathematics, Digital Experiences in Mathematics Education, Investigations into Mathematics Learning, and Contemporary Issues in Teacher Education. He formerly taught 7th and 8th-grade mathematics in Brooklyn, NY.
