TESLA was an NSF-funded research project at Harvard in which Dr. Chao serves as a postdoctoral researcher, working with Jon Star, Chris Dede, Jason Chen, Megan Taylor, and Rozy Vig. The website for the project is still up here, as are numerous research articles about the project’s findings about motivating middle-school students to develop strong STEM identities through immersive mathematics puzzles, web-based lessons, and videos.
